talking point: The most liberal Senator nonsense, yet again!

Open letter to my liberal friends: And other racists, by *Carol ~Your Humble Queen of La La Land~ D.

Carol: "I see him as the former most liberal senator in the nation..."

Whenever a Democratic Senator is running for the Presidency the Republicans ALWAYS start calling him the most liberal Senator. Here's more on that subject: http://mediamatters.org/items/200802060001

To see an accurate rating of Senators from the conservative point of view: http://www.conservative.org/pressroom/2006/0604052pr.asp

Notice that Kerry is no longer on the list. It would eventually be revised to make Obama the most liberal Senator--just in time for the 2008 election. Keep an eye on this and other pages to have it reaffirmed exactly who is the most liberal Senator--as long as a Democratic Senator isn't running for President. Then the list will likely be accurate.

If you REALLY want to know how your Senators rank on the liberal-conservative scale, using actual voting records, numbers, facts, and stuff like that, then take a look at VOTEVIEW.COM.

It is left as an exercise for the reader to determine who conservatives considered the most liberal Senator in 2000, as Vice-President Gore was the Democratic candidate. Would anybody like to make a guess as to how close conservative ratings for Senators came to how VOTEVIEW.COM ranked them?
