Economic Collapse or Slightly Higher Taxes?

Charlie V: "Well Cynthia we will see just how poor we are in four years when we are all taxed out of our homes. Hide your wallets there's a lib a coming"

This is a bit of an exaggeration, Charlie. People like you and me, who make $250,000 or more a year will pay slightly more in taxes in an Obama administration. But on the other hand, in a McCain administration, we will make out like bandits! Unfortunately, the enormous deficits of the last almost three decades are one of the fundamental causes of the CURRENT CASH CRUNCH CRISIS. McCain's promise of even more tax cuts will only dig a deeper deficit ditch. You may have noticed that NOBODY is now saying that DEFICITS DON'T MATTER. With good reason. The United States has to pay interest on all that borrowed money ($406 Billion in fiscal 2006).

So what's it going to be, Charlie? Collapse of the American economy, all your money being used for toilet paper, OR slightly higher taxes? Or would you like to continue the current trend--till you're dead, then leave it for your children and grandchildren?
