Here is An Alternative Plan for Fixing Credit & Housing that sounds about right to me.

Another alternative is to turn the whole mess over to WARREN BUFFETT who knows how to turn a business deal around AND make a profit.

There are two serious and fatal problems with both these solutions:

1) Wall Street won't make as much money as with the current Congressional plan

2) you, the taxpayer, won't be pumping any of your tax dollars (or your children's and grandchildren's), retirement funds, etc, into the deal

Both the above mentioned plans are DOA for the reasons listed.

But there is an upside: you didn't have to waste a lot of time studying issues or candidates for political office. This leaves lots of time for Idiocracy tv, sports, sharing rumors, drinking, ratf*cking, etc.

NOTE: after the current Congressional plan fails, both the above plans will have a slightly greater than zero probability of being tried
